Thinking – we all do it all the time, and we think about our selves and how we are feeling and assessing each and every moment. These thoughts have a huge affect on the way we do every thing we do.  The thought rule is about noticing the things you think about the person you are in a relationship with. When you think unkind words about them, it is very difficult to be kind.

Awareness becomes a major turning point in how the relationship goes because of the impact emotions have on our mood, our words, our behavior and our attitude.

Think kind thoughts was something that John Gottman found in research about couples that was one of the most influential part of the successful relationship
